Today, there is an increasing number of corporate managers who are becoming more and more interested to undertake a corporate executive coaching sessions. Executive coaching has various definition, and in the case of executive coaching series, the activity is conducted by a specially trained coach who will handle and train one client at a time. There are about eight to twelve sessions for each coaching series, and each session could last at least an hour but not beyond an hour and a half, since it is observed that client will begin to lose focus beyond the time mentioned.

This means then that even if the coach has the client’s best interest in mind, he or she will not try to push or manipulate the client into following his or her own course of action. Suggestions of ideas may happen in the process of the coach for the client, but not to the point of pushing the client from diverting away from his or her own direction set. This is one point about executive coaching where the executive takes the responsibility of his or her action, similar to the actual work environment.
Executive coaching to be noted is not about just the focus on the process or program but most especially it is about results. The role of the executive coach is to influence the client to think, communicate and lead in manner of improving personal and organizational results. Note that executive coaching is considered an art and not a science, where good executive coaches have the ability to influence and guide their clients to think and act effectively.
In executive coaching, a set of model or program may not work for all clients and thus the executive coach will have to tailor each program to the client.
